And in monkey news from China tonight …

Monkey saves dog. PeeWee saves snakes.

Even if this isn't Photoshopped, how do we know the monkey isn't kidnapping the dog? Or carrying him up into a tree for a snack?

I’m going with “kidnapping”, since the commenters on that link say this photo was online almost 2 years ago and so cannot illustrate a monkey saving a dog from the recent pipeline explosion.

Also too: one commenter notes: “Pee Wee Herman just posted this link on his Facebook page with the statement: “I don’t make monkeys, I just train ’em. To rescue puppies.””

The important thing is: as long as he’s got a puppy in his hands, he can’t handle a gun.

One for the Grammar Zombie: In the last line of Jaffner’s comment above, if the antecedent of “he” is PeeWee, is the metaphorical figure for PeeWee’s twice-arrested member “puppy” or “gun”?
